About the Role
Own the services behind Demo Co's scoring and ingestion pipeline. You will design the data model, ship the APIs the product runs on, and set the bar for engineering quality on a small, senior team.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship backend services in Go and TypeScript that handle several million events a day
- Own the data model for a major product surface end to end, from migration to rollout
- Lead design reviews and raise the quality bar for the wider engineering group
- Partner with product and design from the problem statement, not from a finished spec
- Improve reliability and reduce on-call load through better instrumentation and defaults
What we're looking for
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience
- Production experience with Go
- Owned a service end to end, including on-call
Nice to have
- Distributed systems or high-throughput data experience
- Startup or high-growth environment
