About the Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Gmail team in Tel Aviv and help shape the future of global communication. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services that power Gmail's core functionality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features that enhance user experience and email security
Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
Optimize system performance and reliability, ensuring Gmail runs smoothly for millions of concurrent users
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to incident response and post-mortems
Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team to foster a culture of continuous learning
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical strategy for Gmail's evolution
What we're looking for
3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with backend or full-stack development
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or Go
Solid understanding of distributed systems, database design, and cloud infrastructure concepts
