Indovance is a consulting firm that delivers engineering design and drafting services to clients across multiple industries and geographies. The company appears to operate within an onshore-offshore delivery model, partnering with clients to extend their design and engineering capacity without compromising quality or turnaround. Indovance works across disciplines—likely spanning civil, structural, MEP, and industrial sectors—providing production-level design support that integrates directly into client workflows. With a hybrid work model and an international client base, the firm sits at the intersection of technical rigor and collaborative delivery.
About the Role
This mid-level Design Engineer role sits at the core of Indovance's project delivery, where your drafting precision and engineering judgment directly shape what gets built or fabricated. You'll own design packages from concept through client sign-off, working across multidisciplinary teams to keep projects accurate, coordinated, and on schedule. It's a role for someone who takes real pride in getting the details right the first time—and whose work holds up under client scrutiny.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver production-ready engineering drawings and design packages that clear client review with minimal revision cycles, contributing directly to on-time project handoffs.
Coordinate with engineering, drafting, and project management teams to surface and resolve design conflicts early, keeping milestones intact and preventing downstream rework.
Produce CAD/BIM deliverables that meet client and industry standards consistently, ensuring every submission reflects accurate, fully coordinated design intent.
Conduct thorough design reviews to catch errors and inconsistencies before packages advance to fabrication or construction, reducing costly field changes and RFIs.
Manage concurrent design tasks across multiple active projects, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines in a consulting environment where schedules are firm and clients depend on reliable delivery.
Translate project briefs and client feedback into actionable design updates, communicating clearly with stakeholders to align on scope, standards, and expectations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of design workflows and drawing standards, helping the team raise the quality bar across all deliverables.
What we're looking for
Has delivered complete engineering drawing packages or design submissions that passed client review with few or no revision cycles on real commercial or industrial projects.
Has worked across multidisciplinary project teams—alongside engineers, drafters, and project managers—to resolve coordination issues and keep delivery schedules on track.
Demonstrated proficiency with CAD or BIM tools (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent), evidenced by accurate, standards-compliant output on client-facing projects.
Has caught and corrected design errors or conflicts during internal review, preventing those issues from reaching fabrication, construction, or field installation.
Has juggled multiple concurrent design assignments in a consulting or project-based setting and consistently delivered to deadline without sacrificing accuracy.
Holds a degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, or a related engineering or design discipline.
Communicates design intent and technical details clearly in written and verbal form to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
Exposure to international client standards or design requirements spanning multiple jurisdictions or regulatory frameworks.
Experience guiding junior drafters or designers on drawing standards, workflows, or quality expectations.
Familiarity with design automation, parametric modeling, or template-based tools that accelerate drawing production.
Background in a specific discipline—civil, structural, MEP, or industrial—aligned to Indovance's core service lines, with a portfolio of work in that vertical.
Benefits
Hybrid work model that balances in-office collaboration with the flexibility to work remotely on focused design tasks.
Exposure to diverse project types and international client standards, accelerating your technical breadth faster than a single-industry role would.
A structured consulting environment where strong performance on delivery milestones creates clear pathways to senior design or project lead responsibilities.
Opportunity to work within an onshore-offshore delivery model, building cross-cultural collaboration skills valued across global engineering firms.
Competitive compensation package commensurate with demonstrated capabilities and project contributions.
A technical environment that invests in CAD/BIM tooling and encourages adoption of design automation practices.
