About the Role

Responsibilities
Design, prototype, and conduct research on novel machine learning architectures and algorithms tailored to creative and design applications
Develop and optimize deep learning models for production environments, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and real-world performance
Collaborate with our engineering team to translate research findings into robust, deployable systems and features
Lead technical experimentation and ablation studies to validate hypotheses and drive continuous model improvement
Publish research findings, contribute to academic discourse, and represent Overboard Studio at conferences and technical communities
Mentor junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving
Identify emerging AI trends and research opportunities that align with our product roadmap and business goals
What we're looking for
4+ years of professional experience in machine learning research, AI development, or related fields (academia or industry)
