About the Role
We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in New York, where you'll develop scalable applications and contribute to the architectural decisions that shape our product roadmap. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, mentor junior team members, and directly influence the technical direction of our platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications and elegant code
- Conduct code reviews for team members, providing constructive feedback that elevates code quality across the organization
- Debug complex issues and optimize application performance, working systematically to improve system reliability and speed
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute innovative ideas for scaling our infrastructure and product capabilities
- Write comprehensive documentation and tests to ensure maintainability and reduce technical debt over time
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and participate in on-call rotations to support production systems
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, Go, or similar)
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and system architecture
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code and participate effectively in code review processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable tasks
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with proven ability to work effectively in team environments
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and familiarity with Agile development methodologies
