About the Company
My Company appears to be a mid-sized startup based in Israel, likely operating in a technology or product-driven sector based on the role profile and organizational structure. At this stage, the People & HR function is expanding in line with broader business growth — meaning the person stepping into this role will contribute to shaping how HR operates day-to-day, rather than executing within a fully established system. For a candidate seeking to build foundational HR practices within an organization that has real operational momentum, this team warrants serious consideration.
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to join a growing Israeli startup as a Junior HR Coordinator and contribute to building the people systems that scale the company.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruiting logistics, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, and ATS pipeline accuracy
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing welcome materials, coordinating equipment and system access, and facilitating onboarding sessions
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation to a high standard of accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with HR compliance tasks, including tracking required documentation under Israeli labor law covering vacation accruals, sick leave, and pension enrollment
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits, and processes, escalating to senior HR team members where appropriate
- Support the offboarding process by preparing separation documentation, coordinating exit interviews, and ensuring smooth transitions
- Draft and update internal HR policies, templates, and process guides in line with the team's growth
- Partner with the People team on culture and engagement initiatives, including event coordination and internal communications
What we're looking for
- 0–2 years of experience in an HR, recruiting coordination, or people operations role
- Demonstrated familiarity with recruiting workflows and onboarding processes, including candidate communication and documentation
- Working knowledge of Israeli labor law, covering statutory leave entitlements, pension obligations, and employment contract requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization
- High attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines with consistent reliability
- Professional proficiency in both Hebrew and English, written and spoken — internal communication regularly requires both languages
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration with independent remote work
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Business, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with an HRIS or ATS platform (e.g., HiBob, Workday, Greenhouse, or similar)
- Familiarity with Israeli payroll processes or prior coordination with a payroll provider
- Background working in a startup or high-growth company environment
- Working knowledge of Israeli employment contract structures or experience collaborating with labor attorneys
Benefits
- Hybrid work model with a structured split between office and remote days
- Full-time position including Israeli statutory benefits: pension (קרן פנסיה), advanced study fund (קרן השתלמות), and annual leave
- Dedicated professional development budget applicable toward HR certifications or continued education
- Direct mentorship from senior HR professionals, with a defined path toward a more senior generalist or specialist role
- An environment where HR is positioned as a strategic function with meaningful organizational influence
