Built for privacy

The extension only talks to your VScout instance — no analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers, no shared cookies. Audio capture happens inside the meeting via the notetaker bot, not from your browser.

The bot is visible to everyone in the call. It joins as a participant named "VScout Notetaker" so attendees can see it's there. Recordings stay with Recall (your processor) and the transcript flows into your VScout interview record.

Consent is enforced in-product. Every launch requires a checkbox confirming participants have been informed, and we link to a state-by-state recording-law guide.

Frequently asked

What permissions does the extension need?

It reads LinkedIn and GitHub profiles you visit (so it can scrape candidate data) and reads the active tab URL so it can prefill the meeting URL when you launch the notetaker. No microphone or tab-audio access — Recall handles audio from inside the meeting.

How does the notetaker bot work?

VScout uses Recall.ai to dispatch a bot named "VScout Notetaker" that joins your meeting as a participant. It sees the meeting like any other attendee, captures the audio, and returns the transcript via webhook when the call ends.

Which calling apps does the notetaker support?

Zoom (web and native desktop), Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Whereby — anywhere Recall can dispatch a bot. The browser tab doesn't have to stay open.

Do I need to inform participants?

Yes. Many US states (and most EU countries) require all-party consent for recording or transcribing. The extension forces a consent checkbox before each launch, and the bot itself shows up in the participant list named "VScout Notetaker" so attendees can see it's there.

Can I use it without a VScout account?

No — the extension is the conversational front end for VScout. Start a free trial in two minutes if you don't have an account yet.

Stop tab-juggling. Start sourcing.

The fastest way to capture every great candidate you encounter — with the agent that actually does the follow-through.
