The extension only talks to your VScout instance - no analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers, no shared cookies. A browser recording captures only the call tab and your mic, only while the REC badge is on, and uploads straight to your VScout interview.
The bot is visible to everyone in the call. It joins as a participant named "Vesper (VScout notetaker)" so attendees can see it's there. Recordings stay with Recall (your processor) and the transcript flows into your VScout interview record. A browser recording is not visible to attendees, which is why consent is confirmed before every recording.
Consent is enforced in-product. Every recording requires a checkbox confirming the candidate agreed to be recorded.
It reads LinkedIn and GitHub profiles you visit (so it can scrape candidate data) and the active tab's URL to find your meeting. The first time you record a call it asks for permission to capture that tab's audio and your microphone - used only while you record.
